Generally carpets should be cleaned between 12-18 months. However, in some cases regular cleaning every 6 – 12 months is recommended. Regular vacuuming of your carpets will also deter the amount of dirt trapped in the carpet fibers.

Carpet Steam Cleaning –  this method involves prespraying your carpet with a commercial grade chemical and emulsifier which helps break up dirt and grime from your carpets including your most heavy traffic areas such as hallways, entrances and lounge rooms. Using hot steam we then extract both the dirt and excess water from deep down from your carpet fibres.

Dry carpet cleaning method uses a rotary machine where a pad is applied to the bottom of. The carpet is presprayed with a dry carpet commercial grade chemical and emulsifier the pad is soaked and squeezed slightly before putting then placing the pad on the driving brush and a buffing method is used to clean the carpet. This pad absorbs limited dirt and is classed as maintenance clean as it does not get down into the fibers of your carpet and no extraction method is completed. Carpet manufacturers recommend in their maintenance brochures that this type of method NOT be used on carpets as it leaves soapy residue and may distort some types of fibers.

Using the latest truck mounted technology Grizzley’s Mornington Peninsula Cleaning Services is able to extract about 90% of the water from your carpet using the steam cleaning method. Therefore drying times have been reduced dramatically anywhere between 3 – 6 hours subject to weather, air flow and the type of carpet fiber.

Most stains are removed by our normal cleaning process as they are sometimes spot stains. Some stains that are more deep down stains can be treated and removed or reduced by upto 97%. If the stain has been tampered with and the correct remedies have not been applied then permanent damage has been done.

No. Your technician will move furniture where it is safe to do so. Wall units and heavy furniture will not be moved along with electrical items due to occupational health and safety. However it is recommended that any fragile or breakable items should be safely stored during cleaning.

A spot is a superficial substance that is on the external or top of the fiber, such as dirt, grease, food etc. A stain is more advanced penetrating into the carpet fiber and in some cases the underlay such as urine.
